Not everyone wants to live in a tiny house in an area with poor schools, and be surrounded by a bunch of crunchy hippies. Just because someone is gay, doesn't mean they're a hippie. I looked in Takoma Park when I was buying, and I found the houses to be tiny, the yards sloppily maintained, and the driveways tiny or non-existent. [/quote]

Got priced out, eh?  Sure, there are some cheaper options in Takoma Park that have that 'lived in' look, but the historic district is full of gorgeous large homes that cost $$$$. Thing is, the folks in the more expensive houses don't look down on the more modest or quirky homes. Its a very live and let live place -- no HOAs or stepford assholes getting all up in their neighbors' business about their lawns or such. [/quote]
