By that standard schools in DC and PG that are 95% AA are more diverse than schools with equal numbers of whites, blacks, Hispanics and Asians. If you say so.
Actually, any 8th grader from fairfax, Loudoun, Arlington, Prince William and Falls Church (whether from expensive areas or not so expensive areas) may apply to attend TJ but you have to live in certain designated areas to attend Langley and McLean so TJ is more of an equal opportunity place as long as the applicant is qualified. You will almost never get equal number of Asians, blacks, Hispanics and whites at a given school. So, TJ is more equal opportunity/diverse than Langley or McLean. You and your neighbors can move to PG county and contribute to their school diversity if that's what you want.
People look at TJ based on who ends up there, not who theoretically can apply to the school and get turned away. With less than five percent black and Hispanic students combined, TJ clearly is one of these least diverse schools in the county, and it's only getting less diverse. You think that's fine, so own it and stop with the specious babble.
