Dairy cows, dairy goats, and dairy sheep are there to produce milk for humans -- particularly humans who have inherited the genes for lactase persistence, which spread very rapidly through human populations that kept domesticated dairy animals. Do humans NEED milk from other animals? No, of course not. Humans also don't NEED eggs, or fish, or tomatoes, or iPhones.[/quote]
