Well if adults at the camp were being critical maybe it is because they are being affected by the bombing. Maybe they have family who were bombed in Lebanon in the 80's , 90's or 2000's ( pick a decade) or in Palestine. Maybe they were born in Palestine and came here as a refugee decades ago.  Americans have a hard time seeing Arabs as just like them and when they meet one at a social event  or OMG, at a private school in NW DC its like its so obvious they have never really faced the complex issues with an open mind or seen Arabs as people.

I'm sorry , thousands are being killed, the least a safe person this side of the Atlantic could do is stand there and open their mind.[/quote]
