Most were condemning Israel and without (obviously) realizing this woman was Israeli and of course never meaning to insult her she was hurt and obviously embarrassed. It was a very sensitive subject....the kids had no idea what was going on.
I don't know the woman I am sure she is lovely, it is sad that what Israel is doing is driving people to do this. It is creating a tremendous about of discord and hate. God knows our world does not need more of that!

They are NOT at all the kind to be pro Israeli and not afraid to be vocal about it.
People are disgusted and rightfully so. It is shameful.
How old are these children? I think that it is clear where I stand (let me know if you are confused and I'll be more forthright), but I think it is terrible to turn this into an issue between children. Children above all should be taught tolerance and respect for differing views.

Where are their sanctions?
It is a terrible, terrible, thing, but it is not the Holocaust. It is lazy and wrong to describe it as such.
Regarding protests in Israel against the war, there have been several. It takes a lot of bravery to protest against the war in Israel's current environment and the courage of the protesters should not go unappreciated.
I am very PRO peace but that woman was hurting. She would've gotten a hug from me, and I dare anybody try and screw with me. Anybody. And if she had been Palestinean and was feeling the same, she would have gotten a hug also.Anonymous wrote:At my D's camp today apparently a mother left in tears at pickup when a bunch of people were condemning Israel..(she is Israeli I think).....so we got a huge email from the camp director asking everyone to be sensitive but the crowd at this camp is NOT that way. Over 90 percent of Jewish Israelis believe Operation Protective Edge is justified, with less than 4% saying they think Israeli has used excessive firepower against targets in the Gaza Stip, according to a poll released Tuesday by the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI).
The monthly Peace Index poll, which was conducted by IDI and Tel Aviv University among 647 Jewish Israelis, focused on Israeli public opinion on Operation Protective Edge and the conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Three successive surveys carried out on July 14, July 16-17, and July 23 among Jewish Israelis revealed near-unanimity in that sector of Israeli society on Israel’s Operation Protective Edge, with an overwhelming majority of participants indicating they believed the offensive was justified. Over the course of three surveys, an average of 95 percent of respondents — 96% in the first poll, 92% in the second and 97% in the third — said they thought the operation was warranted.
Meanwhile, only 3 to 4% of participants said they thought the Israeli military has used excessive firepower throughout the operation in Gaza — 3.1% in the first poll, 3.8% in the second and 3.7% in the third.

I don't. There's not much she can do but protest. It's not a reflection on her. It's the state of Israel, period.
I wish people viewed crimes committed by Muslims this way.....
Well, Jews feel guilty. It's what we do.
Apparently, not the ones in Israel.
That's not fair. There are many Israeli Jews protesting the government's latest actions.
are there? How do you know this? That would restore my faith in Israel but I have not read or heard a shred of this anywhere....where did you hear of this?

You stereotype because it's easier to do so. Lazy.
A poll this week for Israel’s Channel 10 news, conducted by the Sarid Institute, found that 87 percent of Jewish Israelis support continuing the Gaza operation. A survey by the Israel Democracy Institute found that 95 percent of Israeli Jews think the operation in Gaza is just, and 4 of 5 oppose a unilateral withdrawal. Just 4 percent said the Israeli military has used excessive force.
And in another survey this week, by the University of Haifa, 85 percent of Jewish Israelis said they are “very satisfied” or “satisfied” with Netanyahu’s leadership.
