It can be very disappointing -- and scary -- when a child of this age (who obviously know right from wrong) does something like this. OP, I think you and DH handled it perfectly. I think he got the message. You still love him but what he did was wrong, wrong, wrong and he best never do it again. He's a kid. He messed up, in the confines of his family, where we are supposed to learn lessons like this. Let it go. He'll be fine and so will you. You sound like great parents.[/quote]
