If you take Montgomery and Howard County Schools out of the equation it will definitely a different story.  The fact that both Howard and Montgomery County Public Schools carry the state of Maryland is interesting.  Outside of those two counties the schools in Maryland are terrible.   People in PG County aren't faking addresses to send their children to DC Charters for nothing.   People in Baltimore City aren't paying for private schools or fleeing to northern Baltimore County schools for nothing.  Hell, some folks in northern Baltimore County are fleeing to York, PA.  Almost all of the schools in York County are now flooded with students from Maryland which has created problems up there.

Now I really like Maryland and I used to reside there.  However, let's not pretend that the schools in the entire state are on the level of Howard and Montgomery County Public Schools.   The schools in Baltimore City aren't even fit my dog. [/quote]

Baltimore County also has a number of excellent schools but I don't get the sense you really know what you are talking about anyway.[/quote]
