Wow. It's amazing how many of you all are stuck in the 80s in regards to GMU, but mysteriously not in regards to other VA schools. Yes, back then it was pretty easy to get into GMU and they had a lot of commuters, but at the same time, anyone with As and Bs could get into UVA and the partying kids who didn't give a crap about grades flocked to VaTech. Times have changed.
Nonsense point. Times have changed. Now UVA is among the top schools in the nation. VT is a solid school. And GMU barely exists on anyone's radar, except for mediocre students. Oh wait, times change but the relative position of the schools havent. Funny how that works.
Oh, give me a break. A ton of really good students go to GMU for a variety of reasons. Two posters in another thread recently stated their children opted for GMU over UVA. I think it was a money issue, but when it comes to college, money is a HUGE deciding factor. It's not always about "the best I could do" or "where the mediocre kids get in". Intelligent people know this, and so do those who really matter: employers. So who cares what an obviously miserable, unbalanced anonymous person thinks.
