Holy crap.  Do you remember what grandparents used to say.  "We walked over 2 miles to school in the cold and snow every day and didn't complain!!"  I feel like I am turning into one of them because of all the helicopter mommies not wanting their kids at a bus stop for 5min in the "polar vortex" (gasp, what scary words!!) MCPS - it is winter.  We live in an area that snows just like 30+ other states in this nation.  Get your act together.  You knew about this snow 5 days ago.  You couldn't plan for it?  So frustrating.  [/quote]

And I'm pretty sure that MCPS actually did plan for the snow ahead of time. Why do you assume they didn't?  But "plan for" does not mean "remove". MCPS could not remove the snow ahead of time.[/quote]

Have you looked at WTOP? Every single school district in the area besides DCPS is closed again today. Everybody. Howard County, Frederick County, and Carroll County initially announced 2-hour delays last night but changed their minds this morning and closed. It is not just MCPS. [/quote]
