the 5 year difference is realistic.  women are judged mostly on looks while men are judged partly on accomplishments, which tend to increase in age.  plus men have no biological clock.  That explains the difference.

There used to be the fallacy that only the mother's age mattered. But the truth is that the age of both parents matter. And the purpose of reproducing with the healthiest mates used to mean mating with the most attractive, younger females because the age of the father was not called into question. But now with increasing understanding that the age of the father also matters means that women need to choose younger male partners. The only way around this is to maintain a social structure where females are kept down and disadvantaged with respect to economic and social opportunities so they continue to breed with older men. Nothing you said disagrees with what I said.  I said a 5 year difference is realistic (and verified by online dating data re desirability).  The man's age does matter.  And of course so does the woman's, even more so.  Your last sentence is retarded though.  You seem like a man-hating feminist.  I mean if you want to be completely biological, every kid would have a 19 year old father and an 18 year old mother, but we don't encourage that in society.  But you can't just pop out kids, you have to raise them.  and that's why men are judged on accomplishments/status and women are judged on looks/youth.[/quote]
