There is no reason for a sane person to snap at someone they hardly know.  I think people should know this, and the common reason behind it.

You don't have to strike up a conversation with a stranger in the service profession (that would be weird), but really, anyone who snaps at them for little or no reason is an a&&hole with issues and lack of coping skills.

He should not have dragged you into it.  It was his battle, he created it; which he should not have.  You want to be with someone who is even keeled and knows when to say when.

I see this every day and it is baffling how grown adults act like children when they don't get their way.  Actually, its sad.  Run OP, he is not your problem.
