We live in an apartment in DC and have one 16 month old. We will not be having more kids. Have to buy a new car and torn between a mid size sedan (accord) and a mini-SUV (CRV). Which car is better with a kid? I am trying to guess what kid stuff/activities/play dates would "fit" better with an Accord or CRV. Do kids start taking up more room as they get older, enough to justify picking a vehicle with more trunk storage? If you have only one kid and one car, is an Accord size car big enough? If you've wished for a bigger vehicle, why/when? (They cost about the same.) Thanks!
Yes. I recommend a hatchback though. We have a Prius and two teenage boys, on of which plays the double bass. We can fit our family of four plus the dog or we can fit three of us and the bass. The Rav-4 and CRVs also fit 3 and a bass, so they didn't give us any extra.
