Yes, but most of the insurance companies that you currently work with will be members of the exchange. It's not like a single payer plan and the Exchange only has one choice. The exchange is just a website folks. I heard the head of the DC Exchange discuss the topic a few weeks ago. Stop being alarmist.

What you have said is not true. My insurance company is not one of the four companies that will be in the exchange. They have sent notice saying they will not be able to offer insurance in DC. The plans offered are more expensive and offer less, in addition some employees will have to change doctors. I am glad you have heard from the newly minded and salaried dc exchange folks, but in the real world people are pissed. Small business under 50 employ a lot of people and include non profits and trade groups. My lease is up mid 2014, I will go month to month until this is resolved. The business groups are already running to congress and it is a huge issue at the business round table and other groups. I live DC and the little interact I have with the is alway negative. They don't give a rats ass about small business and the people who work there.
