You're right in one respect--I don't know anyone who uses hyphens. But I have plenty of African American friends, and plenty of Indian American friends and family (south Asian, that is), who use those terms. I've met a few Native Americans who called themselves that. Your confident assertion that no one uses these appellations suggests to me that you don't know any of them. And that you don't have any idea what you're talking about, but you like asserting that you're right. [/quote]
