If there is actually an effort to leave the current stadium, DC, Maryland and Virginia officials will all be licking Daniel Snyder's boots to get him to choose their jurisdiction in which to build another one. You have no idea how this stuff works if you think DC will be like, "Well, Danny, you can move the team back here if you want, but we gotta talk about that team name first..."

Two different topics. They're talking about moving to a new stadium because Fedex Field, though recent, is pretty much a pit. Gotta have something shinier and more luxurious, you know?

Though as the recent WalMart Wage Act situation shows, money talks at least as loudly as principle in DC. So nothing's certain. Just a bunch of folks talking.

Indians don't call themselves Native-Americans anymore than blacks call themselves African-Americans, or for that matter any other ethnic group calling themselves such and such hyphenated Americans as well.
Calling people hyphenated Americans is just creation and a manifestation of white guilt.

You're right in one respect--I don't know anyone who uses hyphens. But I have plenty of African American friends, and plenty of Indian American friends and family (south Asian, that is), who use those terms. I've met a few Native Americans who called themselves that.
Your confident assertion that no one uses these appellations suggests to me that you don't know any of them. And that you don't have any idea what you're talking about, but you like asserting that you're right.

Someone mentioned the team moving to a new/better stadium.
If they want to keep the R, they could be Washington's Regiment. The Warriors is a bit lame to me. I assume they would not use a Native American warrior as their symbol.
