Wudoo is such a weird, irrational thing. Going to the bathroom and farting break your wudoo, but none of the traditional ablutions have anything to do with your butt. I guess one could say "to make sure your hands are clean," but one should be doing that anyway after going to the bathroom.

So the idea of nail polish creating a barrier to performing wudoo is ridiculous. But I think most religion (Islam and other religions) are more about the ritual, than the rational. [/quote]

Uhm that is, because us Muslims do clean our butt whenever we go to the bathroom with WATER,  so no need to clean the butt while doing wudu and  your point is?  :roll: [/quote]

Question - when you are out and about, do you carry bottled water with you to use after going to the bathroom?  I've studied Islam, and know you are supposed to use water, but I've always wondered this.  Does it HAVE to be water?  Could you use those toilet paper wet wipes instead?[/quote]

I usually don't use public bathrooms and in cases of emergencies when i really have to yeh i use wet wipes and then i wash myself again when i get home as it feels weird when i dont wash my bottom after using the restroom, i feel unclean. At work, I always stop by the kitchen to get one of those plastic cofee cups before going to the restroom and I put water in it  :P [/quote]
