I filed a dispute with the credit agency, which went back to the credit card company, which agreed to drop the "derog." This was about three months ago. Granted, it was clearly the credit card company's fault (and pretty egregious at that), but their customer service department had not authority to change the outcome. The call center people just apologized that they couldn't do anything more and gave me no recourse within the actual bank. I think someone with actual decision making power got to take a look at the record, and it got a different result.[/quote]
