I had this happen in my early 20's. Turned out to be transient ischemic attacks due to a heart defect. I had surgery to fix my heart and haven't had a problem since.
OP Here: I was born with a heart murmur that as of 2006, was partially closed up so I know that is something that they want to check out too.
I had a PFO. I got into distance running in college after being a dancer my whole life. The extended strain on my heart forced too much blood through the atria so my brain would go without near enough oxygen. I got migraines for the first few months before I had my first TIA. They assumed because of the migraines that it was purely neurological until they went through my siblings histories. Surgery was easy, but I am now deaf on my left side.
