Does anyone know anything about the new learning cernter at Bullis for students who may need additional support or accommodations? Is it effective?
What's lovely about Bullis is their style of teaching. Classes are rigorous enough BUT here's where it gets sweet. They are learning, not regurgitating. Tests are allowed to be retaken once, as they look at testing as a way of assessing what is understood and what isn't. Some are take-home. My DC says that it makes learning much more fun because the concern and pressure over test grades goes away;kids can focus on the material. For a kid with ADHD, this is a better learning style, as the pressure to perform is much lessened.
