HHI is 480k. Child at CM, but we are going private for MS and HS.
I'm going to take a guess at the fact that you aren't in the income level that OP is asking about. Our HHI is $250 and I thought it might be more than she was asking. But FWIW we are WOTP and plan on DCPS for all levels.
You're right, I am OP and was thinking more like your HHI as the cap. But I didn't say that, so I understand the questions. PP who is $250 and WOTP, are you already in the elementary schools you want and you're sure you'll feed to MS and HS you'll be satsified with? I ask because I'm wondering if there are any MS or HS in your area that you wouldn't want, and if you are 100% sure (at least, so far) that you will do DCPS no matter what, or your certainty that you'll do it at all levels assumes you'll feed into specific schools and what would happen if that got dislodged, like too many IB with sibs for the class you're trying to get into and you don't get in? Not wishing anything bad on you! Just wondering where your certainty that you'll be happy with that comes from, if you don't mind sharing. Thank you!
Right now I feed into Deal and Wilson. There is a chance that we could be switched to Hardy but I'm OK with that. I have a few more years before middle school but our plan is to stick with Deal or Hardy, and then Wilson. I suppose if my kids turn out to be prodigies or sports stars or something we could consider a private but it could only happen if we got a scholarship. At our income level and mortgage, we can't afford private school for 2 kids on our own.
