Also went from 5 bedrooms to 4. The 5th bedroom was my office. The new house has a large sunroom which I currently use as my office. It sounds great, but it isn’t. I would prefer a smaller more enclosed space as my office.
The sunroom is big and beautiful but wasted space. We already have “living” areas in the front living room, rear family room, and basement rec room, why do we need a whole other living room in the sunroom? It’s impressive but stupid when they could have added more practical things like a proper office, bedroom suite, laundry room, or walk in pantry on the main level. If we stay here long term I’d like to do a major renovation.

The new house has more updated kitchen and bathrooms so that is nice but if I had a choice, I’d prefer the old house.
