As someone with an older child, there aren’t as many cuts as people make it seem.

Just as often, players on top teams who are towards the middle or bottom of the depth chart will CHOOSE to leave for teams where they think they can have more of a role and get more playing time, while at the same time, the best players from the lower ranked clubs/teams will leave those teams for the better teams and take up their spots.

Thinking of the top teams in my DD year, I can’t think of many that have been cut in the last few years, aside from girls from Skywalker’s being shifted to the B team. I do believe Skywalkers is somewhat known for bringing in girls at older ages and shuffling others to B team, but this may be changing now that they are doing better with their youth teams. [/quote]
