Not sure if they got the Banneker Key or something else but what UMD was offering plus living at home made more financial sense apparently. Not our role to second guess what someone else decides. My own Blair magnet kid won’t be applying to any ivies or MIT as there is zero chance we can afford the $100k a year that they cost.[/quote] If you can't afford then your kid might very well receive financial aid.
