When we bought and renovated our house, literally the only thing we kept was the refrigerator, which was old (perhaps ancient?) then.  It was moved onto the basement, and we figured we'd have to replace it soon.  Eleven years later, it is still running fine, and the "new" one is making all sorts of noises.  It will likely have to be replaced soon.  The light doesn't work in the old one, and some of the shelves are loose, and it's a side-by-side (terrible), but it keeps chugging along.  [/quote]
