Frederick County issued an apology this afternoon saying they should of had a delay to allow for salt trucks to get out before traffic got bad.

I'm originally from New England and I'm not afraid of driving in the snow. I actually thought kudos for everyone sticking it out this morning even though I personally wanted to tear my eyes out as I was crawling through traffic this morning. One thing to keep in mind with snow, people panic and this area has so many people cramming the roads to get to work delays so it makes sense to delay so salt trucks and plows have time to work. Cities like Boston know how to handle it and have the budget for it, DC area is still learning (although it's better than it was when I first moved here a few years ago).[/quote]
