If he is a golfer he will meet others who love the game. Bring them. Golf is a wonderful sport and leads to others with the same mindset. My doctor husband never played golf. We're were poor he was unfortunately not a golfer. Our sons never played. I think it has hurt them in social situations.
And. But you get my point. A lot of social networking goes on golf courses.
I don't play golf very often because my back was severely injured as a teen. I get a bit of discomfort from swinging enough to not want to regularly play or enjoy it. But I'll do it once in a while, stuff like work events or for a wedding party. Or on vacation with an avid golfer that doesn't to go alone on a resort course. One thing I noticed, there is a ton of down time and waiting around in golf and over 4 hours, everyone pretty much tells their life story to complete strangers and if you ever see them again, you are like old lost friends. I get why golf is so good for networking.
