Gmu crushes jmu's computer science department, not sure about the other ones. I think jmu beats gmus non computer departments.
Based on what?
AS PP noted GMU best comp sci and engineering http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/george-mason-university-232186/overall-rankings http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/james-madison-university-232423/overall-rankings# Also GMU accepts less and the SATs are the same as close JMU JMU 59.9% accepted GMU 52.8% accepted http://www.satscores.us/sat_scores_by_college.asp?College_ID=232423 http://satscores.us/sat_scores_by_college.asp?College_ID=232186
Silly rabbit: 1. You are the PP 2. Using Percent acceptance is silly - better students from HS apply to VT/JMU even if VT's acceptance percentage is 67%, JMU 59.9% and GMU 52.8% the real question is...who is applying? The valedictorian or the kid on academic probabtion? 3. SATSCORES.US is not an official site. I checked Harvard's distribution and found its SAT to be below Davidson's last week...only to find the counselor said there is a 150 point difference in the actual numbers. 4. US News - those don't seem to be very impressive rankings to me....why not find rankings that actually compare GMU and JMU/VT Try these: http://www.kiplinger.com/tool/college/T014-S001-kiplinger-s-best-values-in-public-colleges/index.php or These: http://www.forbes.com/top-colleges/#page:1_sort:0_direction:desc_search:_filter:All%20states Or These (for an example of how the predominate major at all three schools ranks): http://www.businessweek.com/reports/business-schools/best-undergraduate-b-schools-2012#r=lr-sr Hope you learned something today dear.
