The show's official line is that Patricia Cornwell "personally chose" NK to play Scarpetta.

NK has done a lot for women in the industry including working with tons of female directors, teaming up with other famous women, adapting/producing female-lead or driven projects (female authors and strong female characters). And NK puts her money/name/influence to these projects to get them made. That said, I don't disagree that she should take a seat every now and then. She does not need act in every project she's involved in. [/quote]

I've been posting a lot of the sarcastic comments about how bad this series is but I want to chime in to say I completely agree with you. I love so much of what NK has done and she truly promotes women. I was thrilled when I saw this series pop up. It's cruel that it is so bad. What gives? She does a lot of quality stuff and this is so less than B level. [/quote]
