Yes, a 23 year old who was developed in a European Academy but is not good enough to play in Europe's top leagues is way better than the average 18 year old who played for Arlington. The oldest 30 players who played a game in D1 soccer from 2023 to 2025 range in age from 24 to 27 years old. None of them were from the US. If you think that college sports and in particular men's soccer should be a free market regardless of age or country of origin for players, I guess that's your choice. But then that's just another professional league. Many of us think that college rosters should have some rules about roster composition. [/quote]
