Does anyone know whether it is acceptable for a child to tell a teacher that another student is sick and should be sent home? At this point, I am seriously considering teaching my children to speak up about it.

It is ridiculous and incredibly selfish when parents refuse to keep sick children home simply because they do not want to be inconvenienced. If schools actually called this behavior out and parents had to face real consequences, such as reimbursing families they caused to get sick, maybe they would be held accountable and act more responsibly.[/quote]
