I wouldn’t do most of Europe with that short a trip. Even London — it’s such a slog to get to/from Heathrow and through the awful lines at Heathrow. Maybe if there was a specific show I wanted to see. I’d say Puerto Rico — will be warm, easy flight, don’t waste on customs lines etc. or maybe even Cancun — anyplace I could get a decent flight and someplace nice to stay that is less than an hour from the airport. Go snorkeling, have some nice dinners, relax. I might just also do Ny and spend the money on restaurants instead of flights. Or New Orleans.
+1. Agree. Even if you fly redeye to Paris Thursday night you’re going to be feeling rotten Friday and then you’ll have just 2 full days before you turn right around again. I would do something shorter and less taxing in terms of jet lag. Puerto Rico, Cancun area, Mexico City all have direct flights from the Dc area. Montreal is also fun (albeit freezing) this time of year.
