If I had a kid at Northwestern, I'd sue them for creating an anti-Semitic environment that conflates Judaism with Zionism. Christian doesn't mean Nazi, and Jewish doesn't mean Zionist. https://forward.com/news/772504/northwestern-antisemitism-training-jewish-united-fund/
A Zionist is simply a person who supports the existence of Israel as a Jewish state. Nothing more. Don't be tarted.
When did Zionist become the equivalent of Nazi? I think israel should exist. Am I a Zionist?
I think Israel should not exist and be replaced by the country of “Israel and Palestine” Am I therefore an anti-Semite? Should I be censured by a college for daring to say such a thing?
You may or may not be an anti-Semite, but you're definitely tarted. What do you think would happen to the living standards in Tel Aviv if you got your wish?
This whole conversation is stupid, because why would a college have a policy centered around accepted/unaccepted beliefs. If a Chinese student calls Taiwan a fake country, I see no reason for them to be kicked out. If a Russian student wants to say Ukraine is Russian territory, we live on. Why the hell is Israel some special infant that can’t handle criticism.
