No, sweeties, that's not why you chose to homeschool, stop lying. If you have the ability and capability to homeschool then you wouldn't have cared about random days off because you would have viewed them as another opportunity for learning and enrichment. I have a friend who is a former teacher and on these days off, she does a TON with her kids - she calls them "learning adventures" and takes time to help them with any work they need to catch up on as well. They do really interesting things and if it's a holiday it's usually about that holiday - I'm sure tomorrow if the government was not closed they would be going to the Marine Corps Museum or Museum of the Army or something like that.
