Hollywood had good taste back in the 80s they did have high rise tho but it was narrow at the ankles which helped with making legs look longer.
I don’t get the high rise along with wide legs dragging on the ground and it cuts a person over 1/2 with high rise.
If you are tall and have long torso go with high rise and wide legs but for crying out loud don’t let it drag on the ground.
If you are petite or under 5’4 and have a long torso you can wear high rise but I would steer clear of wide legs try to find pants that are narrow at the ankles back in the 80s we called the pants carrot style ( relax around the butt and thighs but narrow at the ankles ( similar to skinnies but more relaxed).
However for us who are short and have mid or short torso.. Mid rise is the way to go and carrot style pants.
Mid rise gives you appearance of a longer torso and carrot style gives you the longer leg look.
Low rise well what can I say? It doesn’t only show the butt crack it makes a women’s hips look big it’s not figure flattering on any one but of course I suppose if many of you would disagree that’s ok but I would like to know how and what I am missing.[/quote]
