Op here. Thanks PPs! For those that asked, my concern is more that it reads to me that it plays into the “I am sexy” I think of with Playboy costumes etc.. but as a minor. Corsets are to pull you in and push you up to be sexy IMO. I was a teen who changed clothes in the mall bathroom from what my mom knew I had on and this was in the Y2K era I had a thong showing in class for boys to think I was sexy. I cringe looking back but I’m trying to raise my daughter to not do these things. Now I’m at this spot over a costume and was really questioning am I overreacting or are these corset ones ok to wear as a child, a teen.
You did what you wanted and escaped a lecture. Presumably you felt good about your looks while wearing your silly underwear. Letting your daughter do this (without hiding from you) but with a side of feminist commentary, is progress of a sort. The sneakers do destroy the hotness. Also girls with crowns aren't necessarily what boys are interested in. I think it's a dumbed down enough costume.

Also girls with crowns aren't necessarily what boys are interested in.
