No the reality is that lots of families lottery for the high in demand charters, especially the immersion ones, but don’t get in and seattle for DCPS for elementary[/quote]

this is a 2017 take. DCPS elemantary even EOTP is now more desirable than charters. [/quote]

And a lot of it has to do with feeder patterns more so than the actual schools. We are IB for Whittier and most families do think it’s a wonderful school but don’t feel the same about Wells and Coolidge. So they lottery for immersion charters not necessarily because they’re higher performing schools but because they need the shot at DCI. [/quote]
