If it is any consolation, the rates didn't go up more when my second child was added. One thing it's too late for you for, but if you keep your teen on a permit instead of a license, you don't have to add them to your insurance. Of course, you need to still be in the car when they drive. But that's what I ended up doing with my son. He got his permit at 16 but no license until he was almost 18 (start of senior year in high school).[/quote]
