Think of the weeks/days leading up to your own wedding. Now imagine being postpartum with a uterus that’s still shrinking, possibly still bleeding, definitely still leaking milk. Are you at all interested in sitting to get your nails done? Final dress fittings? Having your hair done? The prospect of a LOOONG day where you are the focal point and have to be “on”? All while also having to ten to a newborn who is only a couple weeks old? I get it, you lose your deposit. That’s the price of doing business, I guess. But I can’t imagine a greater hell. Is at minimum be trying to bump it up to a month or two before the baby comes. Even then I wouldn’t be interested in a wedding, though. I was sicker than a dog, swollen, heartburn, and on bed rest.
