Nuance isn't your strong suit.  No human could have stopped the flash flood that happened in Texas.  But humans had the means to[i] control[/i] the LA wildfires, but incompetence and bureaucracy won in that scenario. [/quote]

No, you are wrong. There would have been way fewer deaths, if any at all, if Texas had taken flood risk seriously and funded warning systems. This has been explained at length in the media in recent days. Same for the wildfires - you cannot stop them from occurring, but you can prevent deaths and limit damage by having strict building codes and controlled deforestation practices.

You can't see that because you are hell-bent on fitting facts to suit your political beliefs.
