OP and others blaming Trump are ghouls. Many of the victims were little girls! I know the area well. The camps have been there for many, many decades - I went to one. If you've never been there, you have no idea what you're talking about. Thie speed of the flooding was unpredictable, and no amount of money would have made a difference.
I just think that is a weak and lazy argument. Flooding is in fact predictable, particularly in this area which has flooded many many times. If you are paying careful attention to the locations and rates of the precipitation you in fact can try to predict when and where the flooding will occur. And the more data and experience and research that you put into it will increase the accuracy of the flooding predictions.
You think, but you don't know. Opinion and speculation.. Prove that this could have been prevented through predictive capabilities eliminated by budget cuts. The NWS forecasting offices were operating normally at the time of the disaster, said Greg Waller, service coordination hydrologist with the NWS West Gulf River Forecast Center in Fort Worth. Would you have said the same thing if we had a President Harris (or even Biden)? Nah, you would have blamed Governor Abbott, and if that didn't stick, then climate change.
No, but you would have. Gleefully. Especially if Biden had made the same cuts Trump did. So you can sit the F down and take it just as you have dished it many times before.
