The old dad/grandpa is so weird. Like he lords over his kingdom and just demands other people do his bidding? Maybe that’s what uber rich people are like but I would have assumed dude had a lawyer on call he could have used to deal with the party boat.

Did all 3 swim back from the party boat?? That seemed really far. Maybe I’m just a bad swimmer lol.

Yes!  She looks trashy and cheap, and it is also a high maintenance (though trashy) look.  Bleached hair would be terrible for a summer in the sun and saltwater.  In the book, the Sinclair girls/women were all effortlessly beautiful in a kind of WASPy, effortless way.  They were natural blondes, with "square chins" (this is a significant detail for the second novel in the series, Family of Liars, in which one of the aunts is made to have jaw surgery to fix her weak jawline; it turns out she isn't really a Sinclair, and the mom/step dad does it to make her blend in because the weak chin makes her look "foolish").  None of the Sinclairs from the novel would EVER get something so cheap and obvious as a bleach job.  Also, none of them have brown eyes or thick black eyebrows.

Cady looks kind of trailer-park rock'n'roll in the series, not WASPiy elite.[/quote]
