I’m sick, have a uti and I’m pregnant. A prescription was called into the pharmacy which is inside a grocery store. There were no close spots and I urgently need the medication and I’m in pain so I parked in the grocery pickup spot of which there were 4 and none of them were occupied. As I started walking into then store a manager stops me and tell me I need to move my car. I explain I’m sick and picking up drugs and will be in and out in 5 minutes. He block me from proceeding and tell me I have to move my car and it’s against store policy to do what I’m doing. I reply that there are 3 empty spots and I’m sick and just picking up meds. He tells me I can pick up my medication but I’m not welcome back. Who is in the wrong here?
You're wrong, and stupid, on a few counts. 1) You're not entitled to a close spot. 2) If you're going to break the rules, remember #1. Acting entitled when caught/called out on your BS is additional BS 3) Arguing why the rules don't apply to you is always a dick move. If you need accommodations, ask. People are usually happy to help when asked nicely, and combative and confrontational when they feel you're being aggressive, entitled, and ignoring clearly-drawn boundaries. Sorry about your UTI, and being pregnant is always a pain, but there are rules for a reason, and you don't just get to decide other people's rules don't apply to you.
