Because Tren de Aragua is not white
This isn’t a race thing. Italians have indeed been targeted. “The Alien Enemies Act has been invoked three times, each time during a major conflict: the War of 1812, World War I, and World War II. In World Wars I and II, the law was a key authority behind detentions, expulsions, and restrictions targeting German, Austro-Hungarian, Japanese, and Italian immigrants based solely on their ancestry. “ - Brennan Center Last I checked most of those are white.
Whites were rounded up in horrible internments camps during WW II. It was not just the Japanese. And whites were the only ones thrown into internment camps during WW I. People lost their jobs, died of illness, even disappeared in the camps. While there have been many, many, apologies to the Japanese over the internment camps, white people have never received any apology whatsoever.
