Hey BP. Glad you could join us.
Again, you may not like him for whatever reasons but tell me another high level girls director that is doing MORE than he does for their programs. There isn't any around here.
What exactly is he doing? He's good at recruiting top players to a club but I've seen no evidence that those top players wouldn't have been just as well off at another top club. He's certainly not developing soccer players. What is doing for the players?
My DD plays at another area club and he is certainly the biggest hypeman around. There are constant posts on X, Insta, etc about the club, the college coaches at practice, the goals scored...regardless of what you think, it apparently is making a difference. FWIW, my DD plays against his U16 squad. He has been able to consolidate talent in the area bringing in players from other clubs to that squad. They have added again with the NVA blow-up...IDK if those players will be joining them in SD for playoffs, but if so, they will be a force. We'll see if they can break through and make it to the top of the mountain.
Again, consolidating talent does what? Those talented players were just as talented and had the same opportunities when they were at NVA. When players of that caliber move to an already good VDA team they displace other good players and the team is no better off.
ALL clubs around here will take higher level players if the opportunity presents itself, you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. If any players lost their position at VDA for next season, they lost it because a better player showed up. Among reasons already listed as for why BP flat out is better than any other girls director in this area, he puts a TON of work in as far as communicating to his players and building the training environments to show these college coaches that they're being challenged daily when they're brought out. Other clubs could bring out college coaches but would they see the same training environment? Likely not. VDA just like how FCV was before, in this area gives the best route and preparation for what comes in college. There's no mommy and daddy around to try to pull strings for little Susie to get this or that at the college level.
