Bethesda has a lot of USYNT players and Camp invites, double what Penn Fusion has and the 08s won the National Championship.
Can someone explain this to me? I mean I have never seen either play so but on paper results like this make me wonder…

Only 1 from Georgia, which is surprising. With US Soccer relocation to GA, there was a lot of kids from GA sent to the regional camps.
I'd expect more from GA in the future.
But yes, 7 from CA? Wow, talk about an influence. Aside from great year round playing conditions, what else are they doing that no one else is?
The kids play organically, EVERY DAY, and are not cone-drills kings and queens like the DCUM mafia. You folks really don't get futbol. I wish you would just go to lacrosse or find some other way to get the kids into Ivy. Futbol is an organic game that develops from playing organically, EVERY DAY.

Does organic mean without coaching, teaching and structure?

Again, you may not like him for whatever reasons but tell me another high level girls director that is doing MORE than he does for their programs.
There isn't any around here.
What exactly is he doing? He's good at recruiting top players to a club but I've seen no evidence that those top players wouldn't have been just as well off at another top club. He's certainly not developing soccer players. What is doing for the players?
My DD plays at another area club and he is certainly the biggest hypeman around. There are constant posts on X, Insta, etc about the club, the college coaches at practice, the goals scored...regardless of what you think, it apparently is making a difference. FWIW, my DD plays against his U16 squad. He has been able to consolidate talent in the area bringing in players from other clubs to that squad. They have added again with the NVA blow-up...IDK if those players will be joining them in SD for playoffs, but if so, they will be a force. We'll see if they can break through and make it to the top of the mountain.
Again, consolidating talent does what? Those talented players were just as talented and had the same opportunities when they were at NVA. When players of that caliber move to an already good VDA team they displace other good players and the team is no better off.

they weren’t merit driven. Lots of politcs and parents crying to TDs.Anonymous wrote:But what about all those US Talent ID social media posts from local clubs? Could it be those are just for marketing and coaches use them to recruit players and parents think their players are much better than reality.
well played indeed. Got halfway through before putting it together lmaoAnonymous wrote:The troll is strong with this one. Well done, way to start your Thursday with biting satire.

Talent ID is a little bit of both, generally always SOME sort of merit to them, but also there is a LOT of favoritism involved in the decision and at the end of the day the posts to social media are ALWAYS done for marketing, promotion, and FOMO.
When you have the USYNT scouts in your payroll you’ll send several players to these camps. USNT pools are the result of connections. It is becoming a joke. I watched a clip of U16 game against Spain, unbelievable thatUS couldn’t keep the ball more than 5 seconds.
