But what about all those US Talent ID social media posts from local clubs? Could it be those are just for marketing and coaches use them to recruit players and parents think their players are much better than reality.
Talent ID is a little bit of both, generally always SOME sort of merit to them, but also there is a LOT of favoritism involved in the decision and at the end of the day the posts to social media are ALWAYS done for marketing, promotion, and FOMO.
When you have the USYNT scouts in your payroll you’ll send several players to these camps. USNT pools are the result of connections. It is becoming a joke. I watched a clip of U16 game against Spain, unbelievable thatUS couldn’t keep the ball more than 5 seconds.
They can't keep the ball for more than 5 seconds because you parents force your kids to play 11v11 as fast as possible. Playing 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 is the blueprint for player development internationally but the parents in the states, especially the DMV, don't seem to want to accept this. You see the results when the kids reach 15+. Stop trying to win at all costs in the early stages and develop players. Swallow your ego parents. You are the problem.
