Resurrecting - DD just hot off waitlist for STEM Neubaurer Phoenix program. Can anyone who’s kid has done this speak to whether the week provides any sort of accurate insight re what Chicago is like, how difficult profs are, etc? Or is it simply a fun week with no relevance to U Chicago experience? Thx.
My kid was in a different program last year but he did definitely get a grasp of what UChicago might be like, the kids that may go there. The lectures/classes were definitely of the UChicago flavor from what I heard. I just looked at the STEM Neubaurer program and it looks pretty interesting. If only my kid were interested in STEM. LOL My kid will go to a precollege program with Northwestern. We will see how they compare. I am just thankful that those are two of the very few schools that offer programs to under 16 year olds.
