There is a spectrum of interest here that you're entirely ignoring with your insistence of "getting hit on". You know this, in your heart of hearts, I hope. If someone is attentive to you or your spouse, because you look good that day in your outfit, or have something entertaining to say, it doesn't mean they are intentionally flirting, or wish to do anything extra with you than they're currently doing.

Going by the criteria of some posters here, it would mean I get hit on constantly and that I sometimes hit on other people!!! Except that this isn't true. Do people prefer to talk to other people that seem approachable, are good-looking and/or can sustain an intelligent conversation? Of course! We all do! But that's mostly unconscious and doesn't qualify for "hitting on" someone.
