This is true, but the school is vastly expanding their use of triple dorm rooms. Plenty of kids navigate that living situation just fine, but it is tight and can be depressing if you’re paired with anyone who isn’t a good roommate or unkind. I’ve heard some horror stories. My kid doesn’t love it there, it’s a tough place to navigate, but they’re powering through. [/quote] My DD at UCLA loves her roommates. She picked them off the Instagram and talked to them before committing. This helps. A bad roommate situation can sully any school. Some schools (Wesleyan) has a lot of single options. But this can be lonely.[/quote]
