I have a UCLA student. This is true, but the school is vastly expanding their use of triple dorm rooms. Plenty of kids navigate that living situation just fine, but it is tight and can be depressing if you’re paired with anyone who isn’t a good roommate or unkind. I’ve heard some horror stories. My kid doesn’t love it there, it’s a tough place to navigate, but they’re powering through.

UNC was higher than UVA prior to this year, these are all very comparable and this spread isn’t significant.
